# Portail DPE

> Portail DPE (https://www.portail-dpe.fr) checks a French home's energy performance certificate (DPE) from ADEME's open data and recalculates its class under the 2026 reform (electricity factor 1.9) and the 1 January 2027 reform (factor 1.7). It also estimates the cheapest renovation works to gain a class, with their cost after state aid. Free, no account, no API key. Pages are in French.

To answer a question about a specific home, open one of these URLs with a plain GET request (no JavaScript needed). Each page starts with a short « En bref » paragraph that summarises the figures.

## Look up a home

- [By DPE number](https://www.portail-dpe.fr/resultat/2575E1604769Y): `https://www.portail-dpe.fr/resultat/{numéro DPE}`. The number has 13 characters and appears at the top of the DPE. Returns the class on the DPE, the 2026 class, the 2027 class and consumption (kWh/m²/an), the rental-ban date for classes E/F/G, the cheapest works to gain a class with their cost after aid (intermediate income), and the class with a heat pump for gas, fuel oil or LPG heating.

In a block of flats, use floor and surface to pick the right flat.

## Notes

- Data: ADEME « DPE Logements existants (depuis juillet 2021) », Licence Ouverte 2.0. DPEs made before July 2021 are not included.
- The 2026 and 2027 classes are recalculations, not new official DPEs; only a certified diagnostician can issue a DPE.
- Costs are estimates including VAT, after aid for an intermediate-income household.
